Join us for some exploratory professional development in printmaking. Printmaking in the elementary school classroom can be daunting. Join Janet Cathey, printmaker and experienced K-8 Art Teacher, as she shares her passion for printmaking and the successful lessons she has developed over many years. You will learn about inspirational contemporary printmakers and ways to inspire using specific children’s literature. You will create monotypes, relief prints, and collograph prints, while learning which types of printmaking work best for different stages of development. We will also discuss tips for managing and streamlining printmaking with groups of children.
